Carpet Spot Removal |
You should ask people to report spills immediately before they become stains.
It's best to treat them before they have a chance to set. But since many
people are embarassed to admit they've spilled something, you may want to create
a "spot patrol". |
Equipment needed: Carpet Pretreat, Chewing Gum Remover, Carpet Spotter, Spotting Brush, and blotting cloths. |
Instructions: 1. Shake carpet pretreat well. If you need to mix up some more carpet pretreat, it should be diluted 1:4. 2. Spray the surface of the spot with a fine mist. Don't overwet. 3. Wait 5 to 10 minutes. This gives the carpet pretreat some time to work. 4. Blot up the spot with a damp blotting cloth. 5. After the spot has been removed, "feather" the cleaned area in with a circular motion. This blends the cleaned area in with the rest of the carpet. |
